Windsor England was a bit of a surprise. I couldn’t find an enormous amount of travel articles on it and what I did find was pretty much dedicated to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, therefore I wasn’t entirely sure what I would find. I also did not plan an appropriate amount of time to fully explore. If you have intentions to stop here on one of the many tours that offer 3 locations in a day I would suggest skipping the tour. This makes for a great day trip or a two-day trip if you plan to explore more than just Windsor Castle. I’ve tried one of the 3 stops in a day tours and it felt so rushed we ended up leaving the tour by the 3rd stop and finding our way home.
Best of all, it’s really easy to get to Windsor from London. We stayed in Maida Vale and it took us about 45 minutes. One of the most surprising parts of Windsor England was the number of shops and restaurants here, it’s a lot bigger than I originally had believed. We weren’t even able to hit several of our planned stops even though we came in the morning and left at night. Windsor Castle was completely worth the trip itself, the views, the art, the decor, the Sussex royal wedding chapel. Take a look for yourself below to see what I mean!
