Wicker baskets to hide bathroom clutter
Incredibly chic and such an easy way to make your new clean home, instantly polished. Wicker baskets also come in a myriad of tones and shapes perfect for any bathroom nook in need of organizing. I got the round set from Ikea and my basket on top from my mom.

New bottles to hide shower clutter
I truly detest shower bottle clutter that somehow builds up pretty quickly. The overflowing bottles with their mismatched shapes and colors drive me nuts. That’s where I got the idea to purchase bottles on Amazon with labels. I needed to clean up my eye space to bring joy to my shower and achieve a clean home look.
Vinegar and baking soda to clean everything!
Shine a teapot, clean a window, I use this combo to concur the clean home look. Use a metal scrubber to get off tough stains attached to porcelain bakers, anyplace with grease just mix vinegar and baking soda into a paste then add a squirt of dish soap onto a sponge and scrub. Vinegar and baking soda are all you’ll ever need. The vinegar and baking soda also work as deodorizers. Best of all they’re natural, so it’s safe to use on anything. Just buy a squirt bottle and add vinegar, perfect for cleaning.

Contact paper to spruce up a kitchen counter or Cabinets
So, this is more of a spruce up then a clean and organize thing but I’ve gotten a few asks about my rental kitchen remodel from friends and I thought I would share. This is a great way to change the look of your kitchen instantly and honest-to-god I’ve had many people not even notice it isn’t real. To apply the contact paper, pre-cut pieces to fit the counter and gather a credit card, paper towels, and Windex. Besides making sure to clean off the surface before starting, make sure to saturate the counter with Windex and place the contact paper right on top. This will help you place the contact paper on without worrying about the sticky part. Once it’s in place squeegee the excess Windex out with a credit card and wipe it down.
Organize your junk drawer with dividers
This will make your life so much better you just need to pull off the bandaid and do it. I started by litteraly dumping everything from my junk drawer into a bag added divders into the drawer and built it bag together from scratch, putting all similar items together.

Makeup clutter
Clean your brushes, this is important for many reasons and often gets looked over. Ultimately, for me, I like to cut down the reasons I could get acne so sanitizing my makeup brushes is an easy one. While your halfway towards positive cosmetic habits throw away old, expired makeup. Your skin will thank you later.
Deodorize and Freshen cushions & beds
Saturate fabric with baking soda and let sit for 30-minutes, use the upholstery attachment on your vacuum to remove all baking soda. Once you’re finished with this step take a steamer and go over all the fabric to kill dust mites then vacuum once more. You can do this same process with your rugs. I do this whenever I have guests coming over that are allergic to cats.
Dust everything
Dust can gather quickly so try to keep this to an every two weeks task. Dust, dirt, pet dander can all cause irritation on your nose, throat, and eyes causing redness, wheezing and a stuffy nose. I like to grab a Swiffer dry pad and dust my whole house.

Clothing & Shoes
Take some time to freshen up your closet. Go through and donate anything that you haven’t worn in the past year. After this organize clothing by pants, shirts, tank tops, dresses and season. I go a step further with my shirts and organize by style, and sleeve length. To save space with your shoes, purchase shoe slots which can create a ton of room by cutting it in half.
Microwave
Food has a way of building up on the walls of your microwave and there’s no better time to freshen, than at spring cleaning. Simply microwave a bowl of vinegar on high for 2 minutes and everything will very easily be wiped away.
